Tong Mein is a small authentic Chinese restaurant in the city center of Antwerp. It’s a real hidden gem located on one of the coziest squares of Antwerp, the ‘Hendrik Conscience square’. Not many people know it, but it is certainly known by the locals. They are open for dinner and serve traditional Cantonese cuisine. Their menu is well varied from (noodle) soups, curries and wok dishes to dim sum and rice/noodle dishes. In addition, they also serve Chef’s specialities, suggestions and vegetarian dishes. Everything they serve is fresh, high-quality and so pure. The food is not greasy at all, which I think you normally often experience when you eat in a Chinese restaurant. The interior of Tong Mein is simple, nothing fancy, but quite cozy. It’s a small family run restaurant, so vibes are super intimate, casual, informal and low-key. When the weather permits, you can enjoy your food on their small terrace with a beautiful view of the St. Charles Borromeo Church. Prices for soups are between €6,5 and €16. Prices for dim sum are between €6 and €27. Prices for curry and wok dishes are between €16,5 and €23. Prices for Chef”s specialities and suggestions are between €16,5 and €25. Prices for fried rice/noodle dishes are between €13 and €18,5. Prices for side dishes are between €3 and €13. Prices for vegetarian dishes are between €15,5 and €17,5. Prices for desserts are between €7 and €9,5.
