Barouche
Barouche is a healthy pita restaurant (they call themselves ‘the Pita Republic’) near the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in the South of Antwerp. Their mission is to be fresh, healthy, and full of flavor. Their philosophy is to not fry, but to use their Barouche oven. They serve homemade sourdough pita bread filled with the finest ingredients. All their sauces are homemade, and they use yoghurt to make them light. Their meat is freshly baked à-la-minute, and they also serve falafel and halloumi. Next to that, they also have platters (salad bowls) and some delicious side dishes. Good to know: they are open for lunch and dinner, and you can sit inside or outside on their terrace. Prices for pitas go from €9,95 to €13,45, platters are an additional €3. Prices for side dishes go from €4,95 to €5,95. • Oven bakes sweet potatoes• Berloumi bites (Belgian halloumi)• Roasted cauliflower• Homemade lemonade• Homemade icetea• Chick(p)ita (corn-fed chicken) with Barouche Signature sauce• Chick(p)ita (corn-fed chicken) with Yoghurt Garlic sauce
