Bistro Estelle
Bistro Estelle is an intimate, small restaurant in the bustling Borgerhout neighborhood. The original, thoughtful concept is fully run by one person: Erwin Dreesen. The focus is on mainly plant-based fusion dishes—honest, artisanal, and packed with bold flavors, with fresh ingredients always at the center. The year is divided into five seasonal menus, all served as a 5-course sharing experience, with an optional vegetarian menu. The wine list features a refined, rotating selection of classic, organic, biodynamic, and natural wines. Estelle is located in a charming corner building at Laar 10. The interior is intimate and cosy, with just 12 seats, giving it a very personal and homely feel. The open kitchen adds a nice touch, and outside there’s a super cute green terrace with plants and lights—ideal for enjoying a relaxed meal in a welcoming atmosphere. Due to the limited number of seats, it’s highly recommended to reserve in advance; a reserved table remains yours for the whole evening. They’re open for dinner from 6pm to 11:30pm. Their 5-course menu is €65 per person. Prices for wines by the glass are between €7,5 and €9. • Stracciatella (with burrata, tomato consommé, zucchini pickle, avocado-pistachio cream, capers, pistachio crunch)• Ajo Blanco (smoked eel with candied leek, ajo blanco sauce, grapes, celery, basil-lemon oil, and roasted almond flakes)• Risotto (creamy lemon risotto, braised fennel, buttermilk jus, basil-lemon oil, fennel-saffron pickle)• Mussels (shortly cooked, tomato-vegetable broth, cherry tomatoes, chorizo crunch, smoked chorizo oil)• https://www.instagram.com/p/DPQz7klCRZH/Sorbet (raspberry-lemon thyme sorbet, preserved strawberries, raspberry cream, and red fruit crunch)
