Planttrekkerij
Planttrekkerij is a vegan restaurant in the ‘Brederode’ neighborhood in Antwerp. They are open for dinner and serve seasonal vegan dishes. They choose to make their products as local and sustainable as possible, which translates into collaborations with some fantastic farmers and suppliers. They offer 2 different concepts: dinner and their special Friday concept ‘Knabbelen en Babbelen’. For dinner, they serve a fixed 3-course menu where you can choose between 2 dishes per course. This menu changes every 5 weeks. On Fridays, they serve a changing range of dishes composed of what is left over from their weekly menu. Everything is brought together in small plates to share (or not). You can choose between 3, 5 or 8 plates, but what they bring remains a surprise. The restaurant also opted for circular, sustainable solutions for their interior and decor. You can see a lot of vintage, some plants, and it’s so cozy. They’re also building a large sunny terrace that will be open soon. Price for the 3-course dinner menu is €48 excl. drinks. Prices for pastries are between €4,5 and €7. Prices for 3, 5 or 8 small plates (on Fridays) are €21, €34 or €54. Prices for wines by the glass are between €5,5. Prices for cocktails are between €8 and €14,5. We did the special Friday concept ‘Knabbelen en Babbelen’:• Homemade mini burgers with kimchi and laid red cabbage• Homemade spring rolls filled with vegetables and tofu• Sweet and sour pumpkin-savoy salad with roasted seeds• Potato wedges with home made sour cream, jalapeño and spring onion• Mini gluten-free lasagna with an abundance of vegetables• Mini pizza with artichoke, pickled peppers and mizuna• Caramelized carrot with vegan feta, nuts and raisins• Asian marinated mushrooms with a topping of sesame, lime leaves and chili• Tofu skewers with peanut sauce• House mocktail (beetroot & ginger)• White bean dip with cassava crackers (miso, cashew and spinach pesto, roasted chickpea)
