La Senda
La Senda is a Salvadoran brunch spot in Antwerp-Brederode. They serve authentic Salvadoran breakfast, lunch, and coffee with their own twist. Almost everything is homemade—only a few pastries come from @nonasartisanbakery , and their coffee is sourced from @andyroasters , though they also serve Salvadoran coffee. There are plenty of veggie and halal options, and their dough is gluten-free, made from cornmeal. La Senda is a family-owned restaurant, and the family is from El Salvador. The mom runs the kitchen with her own recipes, and she even had a restaurant back home—also called La Senda, and also on a corner! It’s so nostalgic that they get to continue this story in Antwerp. Their interior features lots of white and blue accents inspired by their national flag, and the colorful tiles on the façade are absolutely adorable. They also have a cozy terrace, perfect for enjoying your food outdoors. Prices for pupusas are between €4 and €6. Prices for breakfast dishes are between €10 and €12,5.
