Journal
Journal is the coziest brunch spot in Brussels. It’s your all-day kitchen and coffee break spot. They serve comfort food, both trendy dishes and classics, so there is something for everyone. You will find both brunch and lunch plates on the menu, and everything is also available for take away. They already won a prize for best croquette, so prepare to enjoy every bite. Journal was started by a sister and brother duo. Although they already have plenty of experience, with the brother also being the owner of @nenubrussels , they still managed to create something new and unique. The concept, both food and interior wise, feels like a mix between @seven.brussels and @marie_siska_hotel_restaurant in Knokke. Trendy yet comforting. The interior reminds me a bit of a beach cabin, which makes it feel fun, refreshing and cozy. It is a place where you can slow down and feel at home. The building itself even looks like a cute little house, which makes it very unique. During summer there is a cozy terrace around the house. Prices for breakfast dishes are between €8 and €15.
