Comptoir Garcin
Comptoir Garcin is a bistronomy in Brussels-Saint-Gilles. A bistronomy? It’s a simple but modern restaurant. A bistro, brasserie or restaurant that is not too complex but serves damn good food. The restaurant is open for dinner and serves a creative cuisine. Their menu is short and different every month according to seasonal products and the chef’s inspiration. For both the starter and main course, they serve a meat, fish, and vegetarian option. Everything is 100% home cooked. Their homemade sourdough bread is kneaded and baked on site each morning. Their herbs are grown in their own patio, where the chef occasionally comes to pick them. For drinks, they offer organic, natural, and conventional wines. Their beers are from Brussels breweries only (La Source, L'Ermitage, Brussels Beer Project). The interior is vintage and super cozy. The overall vibe of the restaurant is very homey, casual, and low-key. Their facade and terrace at the front are a bit Parisian and sooo cute. They also have a covered mezzanine garden in the back. Prices for starters are between €8 and €10. Prices for mains are between €18 and €22. Prices for desserts are around €8. Prices for wines by the glass are between €6 and €8.
