Marché-Couverts
Marché-Couverts is a French restaurant and caterer in the city center of Antwerp. I wouldn't say it's hidden, but mainly locals know this restaurant. Their chef owner is from the South-West of France and serves delicious French cuisine. They offer lunch and dinner and serve a different menu every day. Their menu is written on a chalkboard, which is super charming and old school. You always have to go to the front if you want to see what's on it. Everything they serve is seasonal, high-quality and super fresh. That’s why their menu is quite limited. They offer about 4 different starters, 4 different mains and a few desserts. The interior of the restaurant is trendy and super unique. Especially their large chandelier… It will immediately catch your attention, it’s so cool. Overall vibes are low-key, casual and laid-back. During the summer they also have a cozy terrace in front of the restaurant. Prices for starters are between €10 and €12. Prices for mains are between €20 and €24. Prices for desserts are between €9 and €11. Prices for wines by the glass are between €6 and €7,5. • Redfish, mussels in tomato sauce, polenta• Cannelloni, beef, tomato• White wine (Chenin Blanc)• Tart with fresh mackerel and red onion• Tomato filled with confit de canard• Pavlova with red fruit and coulis
