Phil
Phil is a coffee bar in Antwerp-Zuid. They roast their own beans in-house, run their own roastery, and sell their coffee directly in the shop. The menu is drink-forward, with a strong focus on coffee. To go with it, they offer a small but tasty selection of breakfast and lunch dishes. You’ll find both sweet and savory options, and there are vegan choices too. Everything can be ordered to go, perfect for busy mornings or slow walks through the neighborhood. They also serve the delicious bread from Album, which makes every bite just that little bit better. What makes Phil truly stand out is their choice of bean: 100% robusta. Very few coffee bars dare to go all-in on robusta, but it’s a forward-thinking decision. Robusta is sturdier, more sustainable, and delivers better quality in a warming climate. The interior is minimalist and clean, and because the bar is set in a charming residential building, it feels warm, homey, and inviting. The vibe is casual and laid-back. They have a small terrace too, which is ideal given their location right by Het Zuidpark. Phil is open from Tuesday to Friday from 7am to 4pm, and Saturday from 9am to 4pm. Prices for coffee and tea are between €2,8 and €4,5. Prices for cold drinks are between €2,8 and €6. Prices for savory dishes are between €7 and €10. Prices for sweet dishes are around €9. Prices for pastries are between €2,1 and €3. • Morning plate• Zuurdesem Croque Monsieur• Boke Hummus• Phil’s Vanilla (iced latte with BOHO vanilla syrup)• Cappuccino
